What box?
Why that little LEGO box with the big 'Knight's Kingdom' written on it.
I will be the first to admit I am in love with the green, black and purple knight's helmets that LEGO created. I'd love the purple and green ones to come in different colors, perhaps toned down, but I'm sure that will come someday.
In the mean time, I am stuck with my red knight with his gigantic helmet with it's giant gaping hole that would allow any decent archer a kill shot.
I don't own the blue knight yet so I'll hold off on total judgement till then (though I'm sure he's just as silly in person as the red knight).
Well, I've had this guy standing on my desk for three weeks now, and I figure I should share him.
Yup, it's the red knight with his visor on backwards.
It takes a lot of getting used to, but I think it really looks cool. If you're the type of builder into the more fantasy aspect of our craft (like me), then this guy fits right in with the crowd. The visor is rather conspicuously attached in its' backward state, but after a while it really does start to look more like some decorative head shield, like that on a triceratops.
It looks to me more like a uniform than some random unique mercenary armor, so I've dubbed him 'Royal Guard.'

Wow, a jelly bean looks.... unjellyish!!! The modified weapon, the gray trim, and (of course) the helmet all look great. Good work as always!

It looks interesting from that particular angle. I'm not sure where I have my lone red visor hanging around - it's my least favorite of the KK2 visors - so I can't check it out myself at the moment. But thanks for sharing the idea with us. Using Lego in simple but unexpected ways is always stimulating.

Good idea! Those visors have also been my least favorite since you must have a large armor to accompany the visor- and those has been given to those with nicer visors or has been given the role of the stomach of a lord... I'll see if these works nice in my Shadowkra army- they just cant get enough of variated troops!

I just use ALL the parts from those KK2 minifigs and not use the visors with the exception of Vladek's.

Heh heh heh... I can't help but appreciate that. It looks pretty cool from the front, actually, as long as it is for ceremonies or what not, like you said. I wonder what it looks like from behind and the top? What box?

I prefer the green knight's visor best, the blue one... it's almost cool but... eh.
