My son two open heart surgeries a custom LEGO Castle Set

Post by kelley01 »

Dear LEGO Castle Fans. I have not been involved with LEGO indepth for some time however I have a long LEGO history. For those of you who do not know me, I am an AFOL around the RTL and LUGNET for many many years. I am also an Art Teacher and a Toy Dealer. I am not rich and probably not even middle class but between having created a custom LEGO set in the past and currently having the desire to honor my newborn baby who has been in the struggle for his life, I am hoping to create a LEGO Castle Set to honor him. I do not have a lot of LDRAW skills but I have taken a LOGO that was designed for him and created some Castle Flags and am hoping to get a small team of LEGO Castle Fans together to create a custom set. If you want to get involved in anyway? I would appreciate it. This project will include the "classic" castle theme. Please contact me if you are interested. It is easiest if you *COPY* and *PASTE* our email address when emailing which is: kelley01@visi.com
Thank you, Sincerely, Brian Kelley

Great idea. I was born with a congenital heart condition myself. Had 2 surgies at the ages of six, then eleven. I managed to survive the first 5 years of my life in my homeland the Philippines despite the purplish-blue color of my lips and fingernails. Until we moved here to the US and had my first heart operation by THE top heart surgeon of the time. Now at 23, I can compete athletically against guys who were born in normal health conditions.
So, I think your son will be fine in the future. Since I had my surgeries, I looked at my condition not as a weakness or limitation, but as a challenge to be on par or exceed my peers in anything.

I could help with some design techniques, and perhaps details. Im also big into large scale Lego buildings.

An example of my Kahilawayan city-state's monsterous defences.

I'm emailing you too, but posting here as well.

I'd be happy to help. I have experience both building the in castle theme and in making instructions.

wow, just realized you lived in MN...... because so do I! I would really like to help, but I'm not good at customizing things. I'll keep your son in my prayers. God bless, and good luck.

Sorry to hear about your son. Do you need any stickers?
If so please reply with the kinds and I'll see what I can do.
