Now I got to come up with something even better than THAT.

The Hordesman wrote:Sir Drake, those looks very Warhammerish! Awesome! I love how the horse is reering too, and good use of Jayko turning him cool! The Bishop looks like something from warhammer, with all those letters, pergaments, keys and skull! I love it!
Thanks for all the nice comments Erik and Hordesman, I really appreciate it. They're something I made in a break from studying :D .

-Erikut, don't give up, the more entries, the more difficult it will get for the mods to grade all the stuff.

-The Hordesman, the horse and bishop are completely my idea (I don't even play Warhammer, too expensive for me, but my brother does WH40K). I just thought it would be cool to have a horse reering, so I quickly sought all my parts together and made the knight.
The bishop's lettres and parchments are supposed to be verses out of the bible  . The keys are just to make things more impressive, just as the skull :) .

The Evils:

WITHDRAWN

Let me know what you think!

Josh

Edit: Oops! I am withdrawing my evil army entry. I forgot about Yaron's entry and mine is VERY similar to his. So, mine is withdrawn. Sorry, Yaron, didn't mean to copy you.

OH!! That is REALLY cool!! The forestmen may have one of the coolest castles ever! I like your bishops (monks?) too... including their green goblets. That is SWEET!

Thanks, Nathan, glad you like it! The goblets I got from someone in Great Britian. I guess they were for sale for a while somewhere, Lego Windsor is my guess. They were never made for a set, I don't know much more about them. They looked cool and I thought they would go well with forestmen, so I picked up ten. Thanks again for the comments!

that forestmen army is awesome! :D the bishops are kinda like druids.
sir drake, your bishop does look very warhammerish. i don't play it either, but some of my friends do. nice rearing horse too.

Okay, here is my redone bad chess army thing:

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/royds ... dchess.jpg

I spent today redoing it after I noticed that I inadvertantly copied Yaron's entry (great minds think alike, right?). So let me know what you think. Do any of you realize how hard it is to pose 8 pawns with shields so that none of them reflect straight back at the camera? I would fix one and then not stand in exactly the same spot and another one would reflect the flash. Arggh! Oh well, enough venting....

Josh

PS.

Thanks! I was going for the Friar Tuck thing with the Bishops, but they do look Druidish (is that a word?). :)

Nice work Josh! I like the "bad company". And with your Forestmen you are on the same way like me, only earlier.
I would try to do my best to beat this.

My entries (not on a 'chess board', mainly because I was too lazy to put one together :? ):

The Black Knight Faction...
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/eddot ... hess01.jpg

& the Crusaders Faction...
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/eddot ... hess02.jpg

Better pics of the fella's in the back rows can be seen here...:

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=132692

You'll also see pics of a Forestmens Faction as well, but I saw one was already entered (& again, my laziness t oremove them from my gallery)... thus the other two as entries...

Now to work on single pieces...
