How about a female twist on things?

Image
(Pic links to folder)

Not only is this my first attempt at making a chess set, it also includes my first attempt at making stickers and capes. If you will note, both my bishops have a two-sided cape. The King and Queen on the black side are my very first attempt at making torso stickers. But they are not really stickers but window cling material which is removable with no effort and leaves no stickiness, but has the drawback of what color it can be placed on without losing the details.

Here is my entry for in the single piece category. Even though there are over 100 parts in this rook, the base is 4x4 and the top is 5x5.

The gallery is:

I like the Bulls side. But what happened to King Leo and Cedric the Bull? Shouldn't they be leading the their respective sides?

I have reduced the images in size, I hope that is what you meant by not having 800x600.

These were taken with a digital camera and I really hope that my meddling with them has improved the quality. I am looking to have better pics up soon.

That link takes you to the main picture in my brickshelf folder, just click up to see pics of the pieces.

The queen has two alternates, one with white plumed helmet, and the other with her fiery red hair. How she does not get helmet hair I do not know.

I don't like King Leo, and the Bull King is Cedric, just with a Crown instead

Oh, and may I just state out that i did NOT copy mine from the knight on page 1. I've been considering building this piece for quite some time, and my reering horse is tilted up by a different method.

Hi!

This is my entry to this contest. It has taken a long time, but finaly I managed it:

Entry for the whole set (dark side):

Entry for one chess piece (rook):

(the rearing horse fits exactly on a 4x4 base with 1 Stud surrounding)

I hope you like it.

@ Josh: Sorry, but in this days I'm very short of time, so I decided to enter only with this skeletons, not with any Forest Men.

regards,
jens

Very nice Jens!!

As you implied, the rearing knight is hard to make fit in the 4x4 square + 1 stud in each direction. Only brick built ones will work, and yours are excellent :D

The rooks are great, and I think you should enter you're knights as well in the single piece category, if that's allowed.
