This is for a murder mystery over on Eurobricks. I realize it isn't fantastic, and probably not even good by your standards, but near the end I was pretty frantic. Yes, it has an interior, a pretty detailed one, but I can't reveal that yet - I'll update this thread. One thing you should note is that the entire manor - not the cliff ;) - uses blay, not gray. And take pity on me, as this is my first castle, and I'm 14.

Tell me what you think.

Man! Don't be so modest (or afraid) - this is a great MOC - and you've done some good work with the landscaping as well. I have to say, it would take me a little while to make a MOC like this especially if the interior is detailed like you said.

I'm almost 16, and I've never been able to do something like that. You're right up there with the great ones! The landscaping is really good, but I think the path could use some plates on the "stairs" just to smooth it out a little. I look forward to seeing the interior!

Hi!

I think you've made a good work. It is not so easy to create a good landscape with Lego. It needs a lot of bricks.

The only thing I would change are the slopes at the rock/cliff and the path. If you use plates (I know this isn't so easy) it would look better I think.

Then use a Minifig who is fishing at the cliff and a little cart at the path, maybe you can use some transclear plates to create a few waves on the water and so you bring some life in it.

regards,

Pity? PITY?!!! You'll get no pity from me, you little whippersnapper!!!! I'm over three times your age and I've never made anything as nice as that!!! Stop it! Stop it right now! Go to your room for a time-out.... er... wait... your Lego is in your room.... okay, okay, on second thought, don't go to your room, stay away from your room (well, except to sleep. and change your clothes) and go and... and... play video games! Ya, that's it! Play lots and lots of video games. Just don't build with Lego anymore.

There must be a law somewhere against 14 year olds building such nice creations out of Lego. Maybe I should lobby to have such a law passed. hmmm.

Alan

Hey....this is a great first castle/manor!
I like the rocky crag it sits on.
It's always good to have dark gray pieces to build rock formations....I just wish I had more of em.
This is really good work.
Im looking forward to seeing the interior pics.

Pity? I pity you for thining we should pity you. Or did you mean to pity you because you've only been able to build one castle so far
But anyways, that's a great castle, even better because it's your first.
Keep up the great work man 8)

Hey,

This is awesome! If I were forced to critique I would suggest something like windows or balcony to break up the side wall a bit. I do really like the inclusion of climbing vines to break up the BGW syndrome. Great idea.

I'm going to have to run over to Eurobricks to check out this whole thing. Looks like it will be really interesting.

I like this pic a lot:

The fading into darkness gives it a very eery feel.

Wow! Thanks for all the kind words, guys! I really thought I would hit a storm of critiquing. :D The interior will probably start being revealed tomorrow, so I'll keep you guys updated.

Looks good! I like the landscaping and the manor is cool. I think the stained glass windows are a little big though. Keep it up!

I'll tell you what I think! I think this is awesome! The landscaping is quite incredible. I really like the path. Some figs would give it more life, it looks a bit deserted right now. Can't wait to see the interior. :)

Good job! Very nice for a first castle!

Your pics show that the bleys photograph quite well. Keep up the good work.
