Enter the Barrows

Post by Chancellor Erik »

If anyone here has played the totally awesome MMORPG "Runescape", you may know of the legend of the six brothers of the barrows. In the game, you may kill their ghosts in an attempt to gather their famed armor sets. But their actual legend is that of the six greatest warriors to ever exist, so great they fought along side the gods in the great god wars.

Now introducing the six brothers:

Ahrim the Blighted:

Dharok the Wretched:
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Rambo ... dharok.jpg
Guthan the Infested:

Karil the Tainted:

Torag the Corrupted:
Coming Soon!
Verac the Defiled:

They didn't take that long to make...just a little scavenging for the right pieces and some limited stickering. I have some customization to do on Torag, his helmet has two tusks near the cheeks. This is my first creation in...a LONG time, lemme know what you think.

And for those of you who want to learn more about it, check out http://www.runescape.com! I think it is the best free online MMORPG ever created!

Where did you get the face for Karil the Tainted?

These six brothers make that game sound pretty good. I'll have to check it out sometime.

That face is from one of those old Johnny Thunder Amazon Adventure sets, it is the face of the Aztec King-guy. I never thought it would look good on anything, but I guess it turned out ok on him.

I like the tainted one the best. I am not familiar with the game at all, but those are some great figs.

Nice figs, Erik! But for me, it's not the figs that make this cool, it's the brick-built weapons. Excellent use of the horns to make the axe and crossbow! :)

Don't go near RuneScape! It'll consume your life. Trust me, I've seen it!

Seriously, great figures. Very real-looking. Hope to see more MoC's from you in the future.

I think RAGNARÖK is the best ever(lovely graphics, many classes, nice universe, got its own Anime series that I strongly recommend, even for those who dont play the MMORPG), different tastes perhaps ;)

I like the minimal use of customization. Karil's sticker could be made better if you turn the brown to black, and turning the black to dark grey, or the opposite. Its brown-iness doesnt fit in. I would need a pic of them to see how the real ones look.

Runescape is ok, I just dont like the limited helms, shields and that the guards are satanists (they dont care about seeing their comrades get killed by murderous adventurers). And that there is no punishment for those who kill peasants for training...

Very creative brick-built weapons. They are almost always too large for my tastes, but I love to see them anyway.

Wow, thanks for all the feedback! First off, can you tell me more about this RAGNARÖK? It sounds interesting. I agree with you that the brown doesn't work as well as I would have liked it to...but I figured I wouldn't mess with it until I've seen my final black leather stickers I'm working on.

And thanks to all the other responses I am getting! I'm glad that they seem to be popular! As for Torag's status, the helmet is coming smoothly, but I need to do a little sanding and re-painting before its ready to go public. Expect him soon.

The Barrows scare me. I got owned when I went down there with my friend. :P You should try doing other people in Barrows Armor. Man, have you ever seen a chick in Verac's armor? It makes me glad I play a female character. :P

Search for "mmorpg Ragnarok" and you will find it.
Any huge anime site should have the anime series.

The figs are cool but the brick built weapons are what stuck out to me. Great job.
