Very cool.....can you give us an idea of how big it will be? (maybe 4 ft. by 4ft. or something? smaller? bigger?)

I love the concentric design of this!
Reminds me of those castles built in Wales during King Edward's reign.

I remember him saying ages ago that it'll be 3x3 baseplates, and I think the baseplates are 32x32 each. But he could be using 48x48. That'll turn out great. Good luck Sava!

I'm pretty sure he said he was using 9 (3x3 like you said) of the 48x48 baseplates.
AFOL and his money are easily parted.

Actually Josh and Cyclonis are both correct, though Cyclonis is correct to a lesser extent.

The castle will sit on a footprint of 9 (3x3) 48x48 baseplates, or in other words, 144x144 studs.

However, the inner walls of the castle are raised up higher than the outerwalls, sitting on green baseplates that are 'floating' on support pillars. The footprint of the inner area of the castle will consist of 9 32x32 green baseplates, 6 16x32 green baseplates, and one 1 16x16 green baseplate. Without pictures, I'm not going to attempt to explain the exact setup.

Jacob C - You should be reminded, my new castle is directly inspired by Beaumaris castle.

Construction update: Day 2 of construction:
-2 of the 3 floors of the inner (larger) gatehouse complete.
-Dual port culli installed.
-Dual spiral staircases on target.
-Name of Castle chosen.

Wow Anthony, you're a fast builder... Because of that, can we expect detailed pictures of every angle by the end of the month? :)

I'm just working on 2-3 houses on 3 32x32 baseplates and it's taking me forever just to do a bit of landscaping (prior to building the houses)...
