Zelda: Wind Waker MOC (King of Red Lions)
Zelda: Wind Waker MOC (King of Red Lions)
Hello,
Here's a MOC I made awhile back when I was working my way through the game. It started as a MOC for my son but then it became a MOC for me!
Link's hat is made from a Ninja headgear piece, whittled down to it's current state. I also cut the shield on his back so it fits as close as possible to the body.
Anyway, here it is: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Flail ... eldaww.jpg

You cut a semi-rare brown shield!Flail wrote: I also cut the shield on his back so it fits as close as possible to the body.
Seriously, I like this MOC. I like the colors, and the sail looks great. The island is also excellent. The one critique I have is that the dragon head -- while really cool -- looks a bit big for the craft.
All in all, very nice!

Well, in the game, the head is pretty big.Lord_Of_The_LEGO wrote: The one critique I have is that the dragon head -- while really cool -- looks a bit big for the craft.

Indeed it is. I think the proportions are fairly close to perfect.lil Jon wrote:Well, in the game, the head is pretty big.

First, thanks for the kind words!
Secondly, I've updated the gallery with another scene from the game and some other pictures.
As to the head, yeah it's a little oversized but it was the smallest I could make it to fit the ship.
Again, thanks!

Yes it is! But, unfortunately, I can't really take credit for it; I think I saw it used for another Link on Brickshelf.lil Jon wrote:Nice choice of face for Link.
Hmm...are they semi rare? Seems to me I have around 6 or 7 of them and not much use for them. Anyway the shield is still fully usable - I just clipped a little of the horizontal prong.Lord_Of_The_LEGO wrote: You cut a semi-rare brown shield!

Well, perhaps the word 'semi-rare' is a bit much, but since a brown triangular shield hasn't been available for nearly ten years, it isn't exactly common.Flail wrote:Hmm...are they semi rare?
