Zelda: Wind Waker MOC (King of Red Lions)

Post by Flail »

Hello,

Here's a MOC I made awhile back when I was working my way through the game. It started as a MOC for my son but then it became a MOC for me!

Link's hat is made from a Ninja headgear piece, whittled down to it's current state. I also cut the shield on his back so it fits as close as possible to the body.

Anyway, here it is: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Flail ... eldaww.jpg

Thats pretty good. Nice choice of face for Link.
You should make the cannon and the crane that also come out where the sail does, that'd be pretty cool.

Pretty darn awesome. I love Legend of Zelda, loved Windwaker, and I LOVE your MOC. A+ in my book.

 You cut a semi-rare brown shield!

Seriously, I like this MOC. I like the colors, and the sail looks great. The island is also excellent. The one critique I have is that the dragon head -- while really cool -- looks a bit big for the craft.

All in all, very nice!

Well, in the game, the head is pretty big.

Indeed it is. I think the proportions are fairly close to perfect.

First, thanks for the kind words! :D

Secondly, I've updated the gallery with another scene from the game and some other pictures.

Yes it is! But, unfortunately, I can't really take credit for it; I think I saw it used for another Link on Brickshelf.

Hmm...are they semi rare? Seems to me I have around 6 or 7 of them and not much use for them. Anyway the shield is still fully usable - I just clipped a little of the horizontal prong.

As to the head, yeah it's a little oversized but it was the smallest I could make it to fit the ship.

Again, thanks!

I just saw your addition to the folder on brickshelf... Niiice!

You really captured that part of the game. Do you have the whole house built, or just enough for the picture?

Well, perhaps the word 'semi-rare' is a bit much, but since a brown triangular shield hasn't been available for nearly ten years, it isn't exactly common.
