Actually come to think of it,
Up close the cliff parts of the moc look kinda weird but looking at it from a distance, it looks extremely awesome!!
Amazing!

Hello!

Ready to get stoned I have to say it nevertheless: While this whole castle is certainly impressive for its sheer dimensions and while the brick and mortar style is well done it has quite a dead feel to it. Where are the minifigs? I definitely like all of the other castles shown at BrickFest better.

The Minifigs? I'm sure he is too broke to afford any! Imagine the number required to fill out a Castle of that size.

This is one of the most amazing Lego Castle I've seen in my life. Although I do agree with Jojo. To me it looks more like an abandoned castle in the modern day world rather than an active Castle from the past.

I'm assuming there is no interior to the castle?

I agree. I think that's why it didn't win Best Sculpture or Most Artistic. To me, LEGO needs to be not just impressive visually, but have that vitality and vibrancy of life. Having a large castle crawling with figs is one way to give a MOC that.

Of course, its a matter of time before one of us steals the idea and improves upon it ;)

Alright, so I just found this. What can I say, I wasn't a member yet when it came along.

So to echo everyone, (one of those echos that takes a really long time)
Jiminy crickets!!!!!!!!!!! That thing's cripin' HUGE! It's also the best looking brick and mortar I've ever seen. I would agree with some of the others in that it does feel a bit life-less, but for the scale and technique I can let it slide. Although I would reallllly like to populate it with my garrisons...

So, there's not to much I can say that others haven't, but now perhaps some newer members can have a chance to see this monstrosity.

BTW does anyone know if he has joined CC? If not, some one should send him an invite.

At first I thought the mortar technique involved sticking bricks out the sides, but now I see close-up, and WOW! The "bricks" are actually studless plates stuck on the side!

How many figs would it take to fully man this thing? I mean archers all along the walls and everything. That thing is HUGE! It would probably take around 1,000 figs to man that thing! Unfortunately, the creator (AKA GOD!) doesn't have as many figs as he does grey pieces! OMG where'd he get all of them?

THE ABSOLUTE BEST MOC I HAVE SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE DOUBTLESSLY!

I bow before the master. Here I thought Iwas doing well having taken bits of two lego castle sets and made a nice size (20"x20") mott and bailey style castle. Can we say brick-envy. Any way, I love the way itlook, it reminds me of several paintings I have seen of historic castles built along cliffs, almost carved out of them. Huzzae!!!.
