Well, the dedication comes from my two mottos:
1. If you want a quick and cheap job, go ask someone else.
2. If it wasn't a challenge, I wouldn't have done it.

OK, this has its disadvantages, like taking a lot of time and money, but I think it's better to spend ones efforts into something worthy.
Absolutely; right on the money.

This is nice (yes, yes, I know, I need a better word), and I'm impressed you stuck with it for so long. (Or is that normal on giant-scale.)

The tree is awesome, well, all of it's awesome. What else can I say?

Well, this was my first larger MOC (my previous MOC is so small, it still exists as it was not worth butchering it for the few parts it had to offer). So most of the bricks used here were aquired especially to build this model. Which, in turn, implies quite an investment. Which, in turn, has to be approved by my gouvernment - which she does ever so slowly...

So most of the time was spent getting my hands on the parts. Raw building time was neglectable in comparison.

As my next MOC will be haunted by similar needs to purchase bricks, It'll take some time, too...

Yours, Christian
