Post by boses »

Here is a picture of a brick-only darke elf that I recently completed...

Really cool. One question, though: Is the torso stickered or official? I'm not sure I recognize it.

Well, this certainally is a neat creation, but I am somewhat curious as to the term "dark elf". I always thought that dark elves were normal elves with evil intent. If so, why not use a regular head? Or is it some game term? Not saying that your creationg is bad or anything, just wondering at the name.

I think that this torso is great for a dark elf or drow or whatever they are called, but it's hard to make a minifig with just bricks because it's hard to give them a face bursting with personality. Considering that, I'd say you did a good job.

Still, I'm a sucker for a minifig head with water-slid paper. 8)

I call it a darke elf because of the pointy ears, when thinking of a dark or "darke" elf I picture an ordinary elf, robbed of any sense of freedom or beauty, bound forever to the shadows of their alllegience to darkness untold. They have lost all semblence of self, and with time their very appearence has become twisted and marred, leaving nothing more but a vacant glow, a lost and dying ember, a tribute to the fallacies of a fallen creature...

I added the e to dark because I thought it looked cool.
