001 Midnight attack

Post by Graynar »

Hey guys!

To celebrate my 200th post I have this: 001 the final moc of my pretend theme. The begining of this story.

001 Midnight attack: All three factions are in this set. Fighting over the treasure contained in this abandoned keep. This set includes, 2 lion soldiers, 2 Dragon Masters, 2 Shadow Knights, and the Guardian of the treasure.(the red knight)

Mr.Delish said it had to much action, so I had another look at the prototype, and removed 3 figures, catapult and rock launcher. It looks better know i think. I added more debris and rubble like boses said. I even made some parts of the keep look damaged. I hope you guys like it. I hope it lives up to the expectations of Mr Delish, if not, I'll have to do better next time.

The overall set. ( I hope the pic isn't to big.)

The entire set, minus the action: http://photos32.flickr.com/35618885_4f2509cefe.jpg?v=0

And if you want to compare it to the original: http://photos23.flickr.com/34264580_8c516fc05f.jpg?v=0

There you go, stay tuned for my next theme.

Comments criticism welcome!

Why can't you just go and a get a job at TLG??? Then the world will be a better place for all of us

I prefer the version with less action. The building has a great design but is far too small for such a large number of minifigs with all that equipment. I like how the inside of the abandoned keep has all those rooms that are so big. Great job!

It looks like New Orleans. That's probably just me though. Great set. I'd by it.

Nice work. I like the second take with not so much action better.

The red knight looks a lot better with a light gray visor.
It's a Christmas Miracle!

I agree.

That was a good MOC, and I liked it better without a lot of action.

The building is good, but the clutter outside looks as though it has no coherent purpose.

ninja edit: I didn't even look at your entire post and I just saw your comment about me

edit edit: I dunno, it just doesn't feel right to me, with or without the figures.

it's not just because it's yours, Graynar

I can agree with that. The outside part is alittle messy but if this was a real set I probley would "edit" the entire thing to suit my purposes. Maybe make the yard alittle more organised.(but it is a ruined keep)

One day Mister Delish, I will make you happy!

The cluttering is due to the damage and erosion of the building and wall. I'm sure if this were a real set, TLG would remove the debris and half the minifigs.

You win some, you lose some. Thanks for the comments guys!
