(Another) Helms Deep MOC

Post by jon_p »

Before you cry out about the fact that someone else has created a Helms Deep MOC, this is my second version.. so technically it isn't another one, just an updated one! ;)

It has taken me a few months to get parts and re-build certain parts which I didn't like about my first one.

The images go from hd.jpg to hd24.jpg for those who want to check them out.

I have made several changes from my first version. Most noticabley is the lanscape I have done and the BURP work I have used at the end of the deeping wall and at the back wall. I also totally rebuilt the tower as I felt the last one looked wrong and it stuck out. I rebuilt the front door, using the same method I had used on the side door.

Check out my seige weapons as well - http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=142269
I built a custom ballista to go with my ladders and battering ram.

Sorry for the slightly blurry images.. I'm still (after 1 1/2 years) trying to figure out who to get the best results with my camera! ;)
Keep an eye on my gallery as I will posting battle pics in the next few days!

Hope you enjoy it! :)

Jon.

Yeah it looks real authentic to me. Now you just need to garrison it with a couple hundred soldiers.

Uruks: I highly recommend you using the KK2 Shadow Knight barbute helms for these guys. Grilled helmets doesnt look right, more like an army of pissed men with grilled helmets.

Awesome moc elsewise! The scale is usually a problem with Helms Deep MOCs, but it isnt so important.
