Hey,
This is one of my favorites of Dr. Carney's castles. What really makes it, for me, is the complex roofline. I really like the rocky landscaping and the studs-out construction at the top of the dark gray tower as well.

Maybe I was a little bit harsh. It is a very good MOC and certainly much better than anything I can do but I still feel that it lacks something...Kanduu wrote:Boy, this is a tough crowd. I really like this castle, and the real one alot too. It's very impressive, and must've taken many tedious hours. Nice work.

I love this moc. This is a great castle. And even if some of you think Carney is not a great builder, I think he is. It takes a whole load of work to try and build a model of a real castle and make it exact.

This is a great looking MOC as usual from Carney.
Carney is a great builder. It was him who inspired me to out size his Castles with walled fortified City-States. If not for him, I'd be stuck in the Medieval period rather than going further back in time.

Wow, I didn't even notice the stickers. I think that the windows would be better if they were bricks. I'd have to agree with the discussion about cutting corners. If you're willing to collect that many pieces and invest the time for construction, why go and do something silly like not using windows. I mean, LEGO does offer a wide varity, I'm sure he could have found something that would work.

I agree with Bruce. The roofline is most impressive!Bruce N H wrote:What really makes it, for me, is the complex roofline.
I have a lot of roof pieces, and believe me, just because you have the resources, it's NOT easy to build a complex roof. A lot of planning is required so that your roof doesn't end up not maching up!
