Community Theme MOC 1: Sea Serpent

Post by E of Alshire »

This is a small boat for the serpent knights.

Because they're the serpent knights, there needs to be a distinguishing feature for their boat, so....

It turns.

Yes, you heard it right, the middle of the boat is connected with a hinge for a nice 'Serpent' effect. There are rubber bands to keep it straight when it’s not snaking across the sea. I crewed the boat with five Serpent Knights.

A "turnable" boat is certainly an interesting concept. It's one of those ideas that jumps out and says, "Hello, you never thought of me before, but I'm genius anyway." Though I'm not a fan of the size of the boat, it's the turning feature that redeems it for me. Nice work!

I'd have to agree. I think a larger boat would have been better here, allowing greater detail on the sergent head, masts, and even some shields on the side.

Great idea, but the execution needs a bit more work.
