Forestwoman "Vignette"

Post by Kanduu »

I made this a few months ago, and here it is. It's sort of a vignette, but to satisfy those who like the specific dimensions, it's a "vignette-like" creation.

My sister gave me the idea for this, after the awesome frog was discovered Castle of Morcia (the best part, by the way). I enjoyed making the tree the most. It's my first attempt at a brick-built tree, and it turned out pretty well.

I have more pictures on my website, http://hollingsworths.us/Jonathan/Lego% ... 20Page.htm (if that link doesn't work, tell me)

Be watching for my castle, which I'll put up once I get pictures taken.

Hey Jonathan,

The image link you gave was broken (it gave a "no authorization" error), so I edited it out of your message.

Edit - Okay, I figured out how to link the pic, so I edited it back into your message.

On the scene, very cute. If I were to critique something it would be that it's a little too green - green fig, green frog, green grass, green plants - so the frog gets a little lost against the background. If you had the fig on gray rocks or something at the water's edge it might sett off the frog more clearly.

Nice tree. I don't think its too green, but there could be something else, maybe some small rocks to break it up.
Good job.

Yes.... rocks would be good. Not too many, just a few. I do like the river edge though that's a very nicely built area.

I love this display! It looks very nice and cool - and it has the frog, also my favorite piece. You did a nice job using the pieces to create a realistic display - I don't feel it has too much green, but maybe that's because it is my favorite color.
Knight Templar
n. pl. Knights Templars or Knights Templar

Thanks for the tips, I do think rocks would be a good addition, they generally make a MOC look better. Whether or not I try it is a different matter, we'll see. Pretty much all of my grey is held up elsewhere...
