Mini Castle Contest

Post by Robin Hood »

I have had an idea for a small contest for awhile, and with a comment by Recluce in the Administrative Forum, plus the lack of contests until the CCC3, I thought that now would as ripe a time as any to try it.

Create a smaller than minifig scale castle building. For anyone who wants to build a minature castle, this is your contest. So let the building begin.

Rules:

1. The creation must be castle based. By this I mean pretty much anything that was around in medival times.

2. The creation can be Ninja based.

3. The creation's base size cannot exceed 32x32 studs.

4. There is no piece or height restriction.

5. You may enter as many entries as you want, but try to go for quality as opposed to quantity.

Deadline:

The deadline for entries is midnight (CC server time), October 31st.

Prizes:

The winner will recieve 4337 Dragon Pod. A minature dragon to attack your minature building. It will be shipped to the winner. The winner will also recieve all the pride and glory he wants.

Judging:

I and a as yet unselected member of CC will determine the winner.

Pictures:

You may submit as many pictures for your entry as you want. But please, keep them under 800x600 pixels. And if you post a picture in this thread, please keep them under 400x300.

*You may submit entries by replying to this thread.

If things aren't clear or you have questions, please ask and I will try to answer ASAP.

Now get out there and build,.

So this "castle" is in micro scale then? No figs?

How about mini-mini figs like in the LEGO factory sets?

This looks fun, I'm bored, have never tried micro scale before, and don't have a dragon pod! What a coincidence!

Can the creation be Viking based?

Well, if you could put a minifig in it, and not have him look out of place, go for it. As to mini-mini figs, you certainally can.

Well.........I suppose. And to clearify something else that I was asked, yes, ancient things can be entered.

How do I contact you with my creation? I'll give it a shot... although I'm not a fantastic castle builder.

Sure.

Here is one that Sava posted awhile back when the captions still happened.

viewtopic.php?t=1713

I don't know if Sava himself made it or if somebody else did. Either way, I give credit.

You notice that there is a giant in it. Please ignore that, and please don't add one to your creation. It might fit in, but the chances are iffy.

Oh! Decisions Decisions Decisions! I'm just torn as to what to make.... [sigh] I didn't want to be the person who made many entries, but I just might be.
