You know you're a good person when you see megablocks and have to do things you would rather not.

Oop, you're right. I just knew it was Luis' Brickshelf gallery and didn't read the caption.

Thomas Rafert asked me to build a prize for the NWBrick Con Castle awards on an 8x8 base. So I thought, why not a mini castle. I present to everyone my first micro scale castle creation:
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Benja ... astle2.jpg
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Benja ... astle3.jpg
Other than a few plates at the base (blue, green, and dark grey) and one brick, it uses pieces from the SW mini MMT (set 4491).
Details include a drawbridge with rope to raise it, a 1x2 grill for a portcullis, gate tower, side towers, and a hall with roof.
Since this will be a prize for someone, it isnt really an entry to the contest. But I wanted to share and give inspiration to others. Feedback would be appreciated

Wow Ben! I think you should enter! I like the drawbridge idea... maybe I'll use that for mine
I'm still in the deciding process.

Well... after 2 replies of bellyaching I finally made my mini castle. I hope it isn't too large... its 14 by 8 studs. Tell me what you think.

P.S. Robin Hood, when to we get results?

Wow, shadow... that's quite good! I like the inclusion of color, it's in just the right places. Good job!

Is there a maximum or minimum size for this competition?

4. There is no piece or height restriction.
5. You may enter as many entries as you want, but try to go for quality as opposed to quantity.

Uh, I know the rules say,
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1402528
It is actually a mini Helms Deep based off my own model.
Here is the whole gallery, the pics show the whole vignette, including the table, but I will only enter the 6x8 castle.
Jon.
but I hope that this is ok.The creation must be castle based. By this I mean pretty much anything that was around in medival times.
