This Viking has gone down to the water's edge for a quiet moment alone, and is surprised by Jormungand's little brother, the Lake Monster.
Ambush by the Lake Monster!
I like this - simple and solid building - all in one little display. I should mention that the spiked horns on the beast are a very nice touch. I'd love to see a few more pics though, maybe from the perspective of the viking.
If I were to offer any real suggestions, it might be some white, blue, or translucent "gem" bricks around the monster to show how it is exploding from the water.
Very nice though!

My thought exactly... A good MOC.lil Jon wrote:I really like the slithering action the monster is doing. It makes it seem like its moving without having it really move!

Thanks for the comments, all!
Ottoatm, your suggestion about the use of bricks to show the monster "exploding" from the water is great! I wish I had the correct translucent colors to do such. I may have some basic white bricks, which would go over okay, I think.
Anyway, here's two more pics to show different angles:

Ooh, that's great. Highly clever use of that space scoop for a head.
The only suggustion I have is to build up the bank around the water, so it looks like it's sitting below the grass instead of on top of it.
Still, your monster is very well built.

I second that! Thanks for posting the other pics as well - each of the three gives a different and interesting viewpoint... I like the 3rd one the most - I think it looks the most like a monster from the head on ~ Well done, I really like this.Stone Goblin wrote:Lord Mikal wroteI agree.Ooh, that's great.
