Remodeled 7016

Post by lil Jon »

I got some of the new viking sets, they're awesome! I decided to see if I could improve this boat.

Probably everyone agrees it needed a sail and more ores, so that is what I did. Tell me what you think.

In my opinion, the head thing on the front, is a little blocky...[/img]

Yes, the "head-thing" is a little blocky but otherwise it looks good. BTW, what is that axe the viking in front is holding from?

It is the axe from the Little Armory.

How may vikings are in there, i can see 4, just wondering if you hid some behind the mast or somewhere like that...
The head is to blocky, but the rest is fine.

There are 4 guys rowing, and two along for the ride. It's a little cramped and having enough weapons for all of them in the boat is quite problematic. I'm working on that though.

That looks much better. I like the use of the flags and spears on the top.

You know you're a good person when you see megablocks and have to do things you would rather not.

I used the flags to try and make it look like a rolled up sail. I don't know if Vikings rolled up their sail, but I can always pretend.

I've been thinking about a brick built sail also, because the one I made (from the flags) just looks like a ripped up, old sail.

Here is the gallery, it has a few more pictures in it:

Looks great! I really like the modifications you have done to this... now just to fix the dragon. :D
