here is the harpy monster I have been working on for a couple of days...
the harpy is generally depicted as having the face or figure of a woman, and the body, wings and talons of a bird...
here is a pic of my harpy fighting one of my a scorpion warriors...

Cool moc!
Only thing it lacks is a detailed head. Also the wings look a little small for the body to wing size ratio and shouldn't a harpy have three front talons? Oh well it's still very cool looking.
Crush that scorpion warrior!
Like the robot arm for hair.
Keep turning out more mythology figure creatures Boses.

That almost looks like a mech. BTW, have you ever tried building mechs, I bet you'd be really good at it.
I don't know much about harpies, but it should have a little thumb on her wings like a bat. It just sort of looks like you forgot arms. Maybe that is the point though.
Anywho, great feet... good job.

It's a Christmas Miracle!
I deliberately made the face for the harpy to look like a minifig head, with no nose or ears, the higher order of beings in my stories usually lack such features...
I was going to use larger quarter circle plates for the wings, but I like these better...The larger wings made the harpy resemble a butterfly, like the Balrog-thing in the LOTR cartoon movie...I had spent a while figuring out the legs, and as can sometimes happen this model was starting to look top heavy, a major stumbling block in many designs including mecha, which this model may resemble...
mecha... I used to build a lot of mecha but the leg structure of the harpy was somewhat baffling to build... making the legs able to rotate at the hip as well as pivot outwards...
I didn't forget the arms, in my story and others harpies don't have arms, and I left the thumb claw for poultry...
As I mentioned the feet were beginning to get too big, so I settled on two talons per leg...the harpy, while large is more feathers then body, and I layered plates to make a feathery look...
Lil Jon--

With the limits of the scale I can see why it could be tough to add more. It would disfigured it's look like you said.

That seems just fine for that reason. Good job!deliberately made the face for the harpy to look like a minifig head, with no nose or ears, the higher order of beings in my stories usually lack such features...
