Hey all,
I know people have seen this, but Robin Sather has finally put a good Brickshelf gallery together with tons of photos of his amazing Castle Drachenschlaf:
If you've seen any photos from NWBrickCon you'll know that this was a dominant creation and cleaned up on several awards:
(two of which should look familiar to CC'ers)
It was also the victim of a space invasion:
(For the uninitiated, these sorts of cross-theme incursions are a common feature of NWBrickCon. Don't worry, an ogre and a valiant herd of sheep took on the moonbase and gave 'em what they gave us.)
Here is Robin's Lugnet announcement.

Re: Castle Drachenschlaf
Yes, that castle is fantastic! Excellent details abound!
[As a side note, I had no idea that this was named "Drachenschlaf" when I posted my recent "Drachenburg". I guess great minds think alike!]

Hmmm... now which 2 would that be??Bruce N H wrote:(two of which should look familiar)
"Old Wizards never die, nor fade away. They just kind of operate behind the scenes and in the shadows... doing all of their weird and wonderful Wizardy things and whatnot."
Looks nice! Apart from the sand green roof pieces I like it a lot. My fav details would be the ninja walls and arches mixture (by the dock) and those little curving stairs...
God Bless,

The two castle awards are fabulous! There was much oohing and aahing over the micro-catapult and ballista (by me and others). I'm honoured to own and display them.
In fact, I was so buzzed by Justin's micro castle creations that I think my next project will be in that scale. Can't wait ...
Drachenburg? Drachenschlaf? Hey, it's all good. All in the "Dragon" family, right? Drachenburg is awesome, btw. Another really inspiring micro-MOC.

Cool! So glad you liked the siege weapons.
To avoid having two duplicate theads, I'm going to lock this one. Head all discussion of Robin's great castle over to this thread.
