I think my favorite thing is the use of vines in
this pic. I'll definately take these.
Great Work!

Really nice. Very humorous pics with a "discworld" feel to it (sans bike).
Is the green helm painted or is it one of those rare green helms? I think its a real one though, purist was it?

All of it is excellent! The fire on top of the tower was impressive, and I liked your use of vines, that was truly inventive. I see a lot of custom painted pieces!
My favourite room has to be the armoury.
The idea of monkey cooks is rather amusing! And are that wizard and the monkey playing cards for money?
Another good idea was using a lifting roof instead of opening walls, it's always easier to see interior like this. Fixing the roof at the corners with 1*1 flat bricks and leaving the rest smooth was a genius idea.
I suppose the wizard got his scooter from the future?

Great MOC Josh!
A very interesting combination of base plates/scenery. I loved the trans boulder in the middle of the fire on the tower-genius. The sleeping wizard was also a great touch; and I loved the trike... Of course if he had seen a little less far into the future he would have ended up with a superior lego motorcycle...mind you too far and he would have one of the new giant ones ; )
God Bless,
Nathan

Thanks! No, the helm isn't painted. It is one of "those". I am bit of a purist, however, it is kind of ironic that I had to modify a gray beard to get the helm to fit on Nilrem.

Thanks! The vines did turn out well. I was tired of putting spears, torches, etc. next to the doors and I was trying for a green theme. So the vines just jumped out at me. Feel free to use the idea.

Thanks, glad you like it. Yes, the motorcycle is from the future. And the wizard and monkey are playing poker (the monkey cheats). However, there are no painted pieces in this. Everything is official Lego.

Thanks, Nathan! It was a challange to use those baseplates. That is what actually started me on this. I have been trying to use baseplates that most people don't use. Oh, he picked the trike because his dragon friends use them. They fall off the two wheelers.
Thanks for the comments!

Whoa, that's a surpirse. I never realised Lego made green helmets! Nor green snakes!
the monkey cheats
, funny. Are all those coins won by the monkey, then?

Of course the monkey cheats. There are six aces in play at the table!
Seriously, though, this is a great tower. One of the things that jumped out at me was the awning (sp?) on the boat. Very nice use of a hard-to-use piece.

Wow that's a great tower! I have no idea how you made those fire pieces stay in suspended animation but that tower is great.
Good job.

This is really cool - I like how you made it very modular as well - it's full of detail and cool/funny touches... why is a LEGO monkey so cool?? I don't know, but I like it...
I also like the boat - but.... what time period is this in again?
My favorite pic however, has to be this one:

Must be nice to be an all-powerful wizard, eh?
I was wondering where you got this rock too?

What exactly is going on in that pic?

I can't help but think of that flaming tower from the movie "Kull the Conqueror".......

He got it from the viking fortress.
In-topic: Nice...Just don't let him bring gun powder.
That fire must be hard to make.

The green helmets are pretty rare, but the green snakes come with the Harry Potter graveyard set. I am not sure how many it comes with, I bought them off of Bricklink. And, yes, the monkey won, so those are his coins...now.

Along with 7 kings! In case, someone doesn't know, the card tiles show a full house with 3 kings and 2 aces. And naturally the hands are the same...so wait...who won then?! Thanks for the comment on the awning, it was a last minute kind of thing.

Thanks! I got the idea for the fire from Suvied's entry in the Battles contest (at least I think it was his entry, his pics are offline now). I didn't know before, but the pegs on the flame actually fit into one of the tongues of the flame and you can position it however you want.
Thanks! Lego monkeys are cool and whatever MOC you use them in becomes funny just because of them...weird. As for the time period...a long time ago in a tower far, far away.
The sleeping pic is one of my favorites as well. The lawn chair took quite a bit of work. Actually my 11 year old son came up with the final design. (side note: those are his green doors in the armory too. I didn't have any). The rock actually came with 8875 The King's Siege Tower. It is the battering ram. And in the pic, Nilrem is studying it with a magnifying glass. It is supposed to be a meteor.

Didn't occur to me, but yeah.

Thanks! I got the rock from the KK2 siege tower, but does one come in the Viking Fortress? I don't have it yet, so I wouldn't know. The fire isn't too hard to do. Time consuming...but it is surprisingly stable.
Thanks for the comments!

I believe it comes with two. Those metalic rocks are very cool, and are a great addition to your tower.
