You can use stickers for shields, torsos, and flags in the contest (except the Classic-Castle category where stickers can only be used in themes that originally had stickers). Other modified/custom pieces can only be used in the custom figure and miscellaneous categories.
If I build a castle for the castle category and make it modular, build a theme specifc building, build a non-military building, make a custom figure, build a castle interior room, build some castle type vehicles, and build a viking type MOC will I be penalized if I use them in other enteries?
You can have other creations in scenes but I do not recommend it. It is better to have all new creations in each category to get the highest grades. Using a castle wall for the siege scene sounds ok.
I just want to know if those WIP pics will forfeit the entrie if I manage to complete it by the dead line...I don't want to rush for no good reason.
Sorry, but WIP mocs have already been seen online, even if not complete, so you can not use these for the contest.

I have pics of a WIP MOC that has since been broken and completely rebuilt in anticipation of the CCC. No pictures of the new MOC have been even taken yet, but the theme and building style is reminiscent of the original. Can I enter this?

Does this mean, then, that someone cannot use stickers of the official, real torsos to make more figs in the official design?

For example, supposing I want to make more Dragon Masters. I have the necessary pieces- except the shields and torsos (the faction-specific pieces). Is it taboo to use stickers with the official designs to enlarge the army?

Or does one have to Bricklink it...

Another question about the Castle Room Interior..
You are required to have 3 or more walls along the perimeter of your room.
Does this mean that the 3 walls have to be the full height of the model or can say, the back wall be the full height and 2 sides walls be staggered so that at the front they are 1-2 bricks high?
Thanks :D

You can use stickers to make the official factions. Take time to carefully print and cut the stickers. Poorly cut and applied stickers will distract from the creation. While you can use stickers I encourage using actual figs and pieces from whichever faction you choose to build.
Noo, were not talking about SW here, Its CASTLE.
Tanotrooper was talking about using custom Roman figures in Roman periods of time. SW names (Republic and Empire) were based on Roman, not the other way around.

The walls have to be full height. If you can not view the room for a good camera shot, add a center hinge to have the moc fold open.

Wow. I can't believe I have questions.
architect wrote:So laser cannons or giant bunnies are not allowed in the Siege category ;) Of course if your Classic-Castle category is Dragon Masters or Fright Knights there is fantasy in those themes. Use your best judgement, ask questions, and we will grade appropriately.
Wait. So, giant bunnies are not allowed in the Siege category? So does it have to be LEGO Theme vs. LEGO Theme then? Or can we have ogres and undead (without laser cannons and disruptors) lead by a wizard (not Majesto or Willa) attacking a fortified peasant village? I know you said use your best judgement, but I just wanted to see if we had to use official Themes.

Also, similar to Norro's question, does "in the style of your favorite LEGO Castle Theme" in the Classic Castle Category refer to the LEGO style of building (i.e., somewhat fragile, loots of POOPs, and open areas), or can be build, say a CCC building, and populate it with the figs of an easily recognizable LEGO Theme? Know what I mean?

Thanks,
Sean

Hey,

Remember, there is a miscellaneous category. So if there is something you had your heart set on building something in particular (beast, vignette, Da Vinci), you could always enter it there.

I think this would be ok, but your Ogres/Giants need to also have siege engines of some sort. A few human soldiers thrown into the mix wouldn't be a bad idea either.

You can do either but it leans more to a CCC style creation manned by the faction of your choice. So a tudor barracks full of lion knights or a tower bridge patrolled by Dragon Masters would be ok.

If the new moc is unrecognizable from the old that would be ok. You have 2 months to build a moc, so just change it into a new creation. Also, your bold text is extremely annoying. Edit your post and change the text to normal.

From the first post in this thread:
architect wrote: Notes: We are working on setting up the database for submitting entries and hope to have that operational by this weekend. The "Submit an Entry" and "Entries" links will not work until that time. In addition we plan on placing actual photographs of the used sets for everyone to view.
So I would assume that it isn't down, it just hasn't been up yet...
