Fort Davnee

Post by Stone Goblin »

Since I posted this before the contest I can't enter it in, so I might as well post here.

Introducing my Fort Davnee, part of the Lions empire. The reason I call it a fort and not a castle is because this fort is more of an outpost on the edges of the Lions' borders and requires supplies from for away, while I consider in my castle world, castles need a surrounding village community to support the castle to be called a castle.

I did this project about three or four years ago. I wanted a castle that can come apart in sections, make corner window slits on ninty degree angles and try making a long bridge with boat dock ramps. Problems I had with the project where; not adding enough small details(like furniture), lack of having enough white flat smooths the ones without the decals on them and it's hard to look at a project when some of the white pieces have suntans. :x

The fort was built on an island on Lake Dagge, to watch for enemy movement along the mountain pass and the other side of the lake. Recently in my short history of my castle realms Fort Davnee fell too the Bulls during a siege.

and the rest of the pics here, when pics are public again(added some more pics).

Any comments welcomed. :)
P.S. Don't mind my messy room, especially that ugly green colored wall :x , which has been repainted too an almost lego blue color(thunder blue). :)

As far as I can tell from the one picture, this looks good. Can't wait to see the other pics...
