Dragons Boat and Cannon

Post by Stone Goblin »

I consider this moc's cannon fantasy and the boat is owned by the dragons(castle faction), so it will be posted here in castle mocs.

This is a Dragons' boat and cannon, which the cannon slides in and out of the boats interior section.
The moc is unfinished, but I toke these pictures awhile ago and thought I might as well post them. As you can see the boat is actually two side by side boat bottoms with a little space between them. The boat bottoms connect in the rear.

Any comments welcomed. :)

That is a very interesting boat. The dragon cannon is sweet.

That cannon rocks!! Can you show some more pics of that? I'd like to try to replicate it for future chapters of my story... :P Great design - what made you think of that?

I was thinking about Chinese cannons with dragon designs on them and thought can I make a cannon with dragon detail on it. Took some trial and error, but I figured how to get the aligator head on the cannon top by using a pickaxe. If you look at the below image you can see the pickaxe holds the head. The bottom head is held up by a 1x2 side rail flat piece. If I can remember, I don't think the pieces holding the heads together are actually connected to the rest of the cannon.

That cannon is probably the best I have seen. Well done!

The cannon is excellent, but the boat looks just a wee bit off.

Keep the cabin and prow, and make the main deck about 8 studs longer. I think that will make it look more seaworthy.

It may give you distance for a junk-style sail as well.
Water sleeps.
