I second that. Green knobs on the control sticks would look great.

I think it's because he is showing a little more leg than the traditional kilt allows, no? If my memory serves me, the kilt should go to the knee...

If you think about the 'traditional' minifig, with the rotation joint for the hip being directly under the torso, the yellow lever bases ARE his knees. ;)
