Hey everyone!
Sadly, I am a nominal LEGO collector who thrives on what he has. This 'depravity' is due to low funds for LEGO, and my other interests. So... while surfing through Brickshelf I have found an alternative way to 'roof' a MOC that many have displayed in their folder. Unfortunately I can't find a picture, you'll just have to base your replies on my description.
If I haven't many of these:
Or only two of these:
How do I make an alternative roof with these:
or any studded plates. Please help me out.
For the admins: Sorry for the big pics, I didn't have time to resize them.

Thanks Sir Dillon! I like some of those ideas, yet I'm in need of something a little larger... anyone?

Hey Shadow,
In my Meduseld, I use a series of click-hinges underneath the roof to hold it together (sorry, no pics of the underside of the roof). Then the whole thing sort of balances on top - in the third picture on that page you can see how there is a little part sticking out near the roof peak of the slopes that the plate roof hangs on.
In my new hall, there is a line of these hinge plates along each side:
and then the roof plates are attached to those. In the middle, the two flaps of the roof are just balanced against eachother. That was actually intentional, as I can swing the roof apart for lighting the interior when I photograph.
BTW, I resized your pics. On Bricklink you can always choose to view a smaller image, so it's better to use the thumbnails when pasting images of elements into this forum.

you don't need hinges...
Just attach a brick at the backside of the plate, let it rest on the wall and let gravity do it's work.
