CCC3 Viking's Hall

Post by marakoeschtra »

Here's my first entry in the CCC; the Viking's Hall.
The place where the Vikings gather to celebrate their latest victory...

Beautiful Landscaping. Nice Statue. I like how you used plates to hide the supports holding up the higher level. The mottled look on the building foundation is nice, and the design of the roof is wonderful as well.

It looks great.

Wow. That is sure to win first. I love the snow and the sloping down to the docks. The guy shoveling is great. The building itself looks spetacular. The interiour design is marvelous. Awesome all the way.

Great Viking entry! Very well done, the details are excellent. The feasting, the snow shoveling, the guy, um, relieving himself...all excellent. :)

Absolutely beautiful. Your use of the tooth pieces as the edges of the snow is genius--yet *another* idea I need to use. This is sure to place well in the contest!

A great MOC! The scenery is well done, the Hall itself is great and the snow offsets it perfectly!

God Bless,

That is amazing. Nice landscaping. I really like the face of the guy eating the turkey leg inside, goes very nicely. :D

Excellent! I'm sure 3 pics don't do this MOC justice.

One question (anyone can answer) given the time period of viking civilization did they have latticed windows? (My answer is no, but I am curious about perspectives of historical accuracy.)

Speaking of windows, the gentleman relieving himself is pretty close to one. Remember, don't eat yellow snow!

The rock foundation is my favourite detail.

Wow! This is a nice setting. I love the Viking Hall. The guys outside, shoveling snow and the other doing his business, are a nice touch.

Fine creation!

Nice to see a great viking moc!
I love the design of the hall...looks spectacular!
The snow fits very well in this Moc.
I like how you made the moc slope downwards toward the shoreline...nicely done.
And that wooden statue is just awesome.

This will do very well in the contest!

WHOA!

I've always been a fan of your work and this new MOC is very incredible. Your use of white bricks for snow is quite authentic since the Vikings lived in cold conditions

I'm always astounded at your work...

Keep it up!

I really like the little details -- the guy shoveling snow, the clear pieces at the edge of the water, and so on. Great work!

That's a cool Viking Hall. I really like the snow, the teeth used as snowy overhangs by the water is a nice touch.
