Viking Watch Tower

Post by Scnicker »

Hey there everyone,
This MOC had been sitting on my table for 3 weeks now and I was too lazy to picture it until today. As many of you may guess, this is a CCCIII entry. I'm quite pleased with it. From my POV, it's simple, but refreshing :) Well... onto the pictures then!:

Wow! Thats impressive. I like your use of the logs and foliage to create an amazing scene. I'm sure the 'viking' category will be full of your mocs :D

Great idea with the snow on the tree. Somehow, I feel like you did a much better job with the snow on the ground than on the roof, but that might be the resolution on my monitor. Nice work for finding something novel for the vikings.

I didn't notice the snow on the trees - that is a really nice touch. I like this MOC because it shows the vikings doing something other than attacking, pillaging, and burning (not that such actions don't have their place with our nordic friends). I like how you added the peasant too, to emphasize that this is just an everyday setting in the snowy and frigid north.

Well done, I really like this MOC.

Great looing work there. 8) I like the way the tree is done and the way you've put the arched windows in the log walls.

PS: Feel free to re-post this at Dragonhall MOCs.

Good idea. Love the snow, especially on the tree. Also nice tree design. I might not like some of the pieces on the tower(like the grey bricks), but overall the shape looks excellent. :)
Keep up the good work Scnicker. :)

Its somewhat reminiscent of the Watch Tower from the game Age of Mythology....

Good work though! Could use some more stone like elements on the bottom portions.
