My newest Castle model
My newest Castle model
Well its been a while. I quit (I know horrible) legos for about 1-2 years so I am still a bit rusty. I thought I would post this so you all could give me an compliments/and or constructive criticism on my newest castle. Thanks=)

Well.. maybe a tad bit of color will suffice, yet your MOC is real enough.P.S. anyone have any suggestions as to how I can make it more realistic?

Looking pretty good, especially after a couple years. I'd say a nicely done river would make the landscaping look even better. Then more detailing inside, maybe a table, shelf, large fireplace, etc...
That first pic is definitely the best. I especially like the hill up to the fortress.
I might suggest some smaller pictures on Brickshelf. Even with my connection, the pictures took awhile to load. I can't imagine what it'd be on dialup. (Just a thought.)
Welcome back

Thanks for the comments. Yeah I know its in its first stages so I have done almost no interior decorating. I made it more for looking cool while I played "Brickwars". Sadly no its to small to support my soldiers. I ran out of grey an di refuse to use new grey. Curse you lego for destroying the old grey legos!!!!

Great idea. I was noticing how huge they were so I think I am going ot figure out how to make them smaller. Sorry bout that.I might suggest some smaller pictures on Brickshelf. Even with my connection, the pictures took awhile to load. I can't imagine what it'd be on dialup. (Just a thought.)

Looks good, I like the overall layout. To make it more realistic, I would suggest using more plates in your landscaping, especially for grass. The *square-ness* of it would work well for rocks, but I think it should be a little more smoother. Nice work though, keep it up!

Yeah I know I built it to sorta look like it was built on a rocky green thing not quite sure if thats possible. Like I said I built it for brickwars, and since i have a friend who has a killer battering ram I built it so he could not reach my gate with it. Must get more grey!!!The *square-ness* of it would work well for rocks, but I think it should be a little more smooth

Hey Brickboy,
Very cool castle. On size, I was assuming that this was one corner of a larger castle, since the castle and hill are cut away on two sides, so I don't see that as a problem.
A couple of suggestions (aside from the repeated "scale those pics!" plea and an agreement that it will be good to furnish the interior): In this pic:
the inclusion of the burp as part of the wall suggests that this is built on a rocky outcrop, which is cool, but you should probably use a dark gray burp. Using the same color just makes that one portion look like a poorly built portion of the wall. You wanted suggestions on realism; in this pic:
you see that the stone wall above is resting on a two-plate thick floor, which in reality would crumble under the weight. your main stone walls should go down to the ground. Also on realism, at one stud the walls are too thin to be true to realistic castle construction. However, the overall thing looks very good.
