Undead Viking Attack

Post by Sir Terrance »

Here is the siege scene I built for CCC3. I'm still trying to pick out the 3 pictures to enter, but here is the whole gallery.

Gallery.

Please let me know what you think!

Nice action on the wall, I have never really liked the look of skeleton soldiers but it looks fairly good anyway. The Seaserpent is really cool I must say, by far my favourite part of this scene.

I don´t really like the boat though. It´s a bit boring, and you used both new and old brown... that made it look weird...

But all in all a good MOC (especially the Seaserpent)

This is really cool - the most impressive bit of building has to be the skeleton structure at the head of the boat, although it seems a bit larger in proportion to the boat... and maybe the boat might have been a bit unbalanced in the water with such a large structure on the front... but no mind - it looks to cool to take out!

The battle scene is cool too, and the skeletons with viking helmets look good. The balista is a nice touch as well - nice touch to make it all out of bones.

As said before, the skeleton structure on the ship is really impressive, and IMO, the best part of the creation. I also like the snow bank, and the wall looks nice too.
Keep up the great work. :)

Indeed, A very original idea to make a skeleton Dragon.

Another thing that was nicely done are the merlons, the darkgray slopes make them very believable.

About the use of old and new brown, i personally have no problems with it.

As for which one to submit, i'd take the 2nd one for sure.
Cool Moc !

I like the scene!...your skeleton dragon is very beautiful. The guards on the wall must be very scared!
I haven1t got problems with the old and new brow eighter, and about the ship, why should it look booring, its just a normal boot (appart from the skeleton(s)).

Great seige scene! Your architectural details are very good and the skeletal dragon is well done. Your scene is also full of lots of action...that is good to see. I, too, am not a big fan of skeleton armies (too hard to pose, though there are ways) but yours works. Way to go!

Thanks for the comments everyone! The mixture of new and old brown is supposed to make the ship look battle worn, and look like it has been repaired a few times. And I forgot to mention in the original post that everything is bley. :D
