CCC3 3 entries + Poll to decide for Misc Category

Post by Stone Goblin »

Here are four mocs I created but I'm only entering 3 of these entries for CCC3. I would like it if you can help me decide which one of two of the "Misc" entries I should submit. I have another entry for "Misc", so I can't have both of these.

So please help me choose.
Grey Grok vs. Clockwork Stomper

First the Grey Grok.
Mighty beast that lives in the mountains/high forest around the Ka Lu people in my castle realm. The creature waits for its prey, camouflage while hidding amongest the rocky terrain. The Ka Lu rough translation for "Grey Grok" is large rock creature that swallows man whole.

Second, the Clockwork Stomper.
While workng on the Clockhouse's clockwork gear design, I created this mechanical clockwork beast. I gave it's stomper(it's "stumper" on the images, my mistake  ) name for it's leg design. It could be one of the Royal Inventor Freddrick's inventions for war.

Medieval Life Entry:
Royal Inventor's Clockhouse
Inventor Freddrick is ahead of his time. He with the help of the Lions empire built the first clock/clockhouse. No one in his village understands what this clock thing is all about. :? But the royalty has seen some of his baffling work and offered him funds, three helpers and supplies. In return he must create weapons of war, which he objects to but builds them anyway.

Vehicles and Boats entry:
Royal Lions' Carriage
One of my older mocs(two years ago), but modified and updated for this competition. I created this wanting a carriage with room for up to 4 figures in the passenger compartment.

Any comments welcomed. :)
P.S. I'll have the full galleries up later in this post.

Haha, that Clockwork Stomper made me laugh, just the name was almost too much ;)

Of course you should enter that one, or why not both? You are allowed two entries in each category I think...

I'd say enter the building it is the most realistic of all of them, I'd have to say though if they had a DeVinci catagory I'd enter the stomper.

The Royal Inventor's Clockhouse is just amazing!
I love it....it should be an official lego set!
Great color patterns, great detail...it's fantastic.
You'll do well in the contest I'm sure.

Can you post a couple more pics please?

Stomper. I just don't like the Grok, It's too blocky. And I like psuedo-mechanical stuff. I would add, as the Spacers say, 'Greebling'- random little parts that look like hoses and wires and transistors and regulators and ... well, you get the idea. Looks Great!

First of all, thanks for the comments and votes everybody. :D

Now I must clear things up, again. It is only the "Grey Grok" versus the "Clockwork Stomper" for the "misc" category. I have a third moc that is not shown yet, that will definetly be entered in the "misc" category, if I get the pics and post today. So I can only choose one of the two creatures and I'm not going to put both together, that would probably just look too weird.
By the look of the voting results I'll probably enter "Clockwork Stomper" around noon time today.

The "Clockhouse"(medieval life) and "Carriage"(vehicles/boats) mocs are already in different categories in CCC3.
You guys don't pick on my "Grey Grok" :( or I'll command it to swallow you whole.
It's an older moc(two years) and was my only older moc that I would of entered that wasn't upgraded to probably look better. While the "Stomper" is new and only took about 30 minutes to build.

To which moc are you prefering too?

Sure! I'm a little busy right now with other entries. Probably post full galleries around the end of the CCC3 deadline. You will just have to wait.

Nobody has anything to say about the "Lions' Royal Carriage" moc?
Keep the comments coming. :)
