CCC III closed / judging in progress

Post by Bruce N H »

Hi all,

Image

The contest is now closed and we're going to start judging soon. This process always takes a while--our target for announcing winners is the 16th, but last year we missed the deadline by a bit--so be patient. There are tons of great submissions, so the decisions will not be easy ones. Thank you to everyone who participated.

We'll start a thread soon on the "admin's pick" category so you can judge us as well.

I would like to say thanks, to all who made this contest possible. :D

I hate to be in the judges' shoes, so many great entries to go through. Oh wait, there is the "Admins' Stuff" to judge. At least it's not 200 entries to judge. :)

Good luck with the judging. :)

What an amazing contest.
I've already printed out pics of some of the mocs I liked, to use as inspiration. Some good building ideas too!

They might even have to flip a coin to decide between some of the mocs. Just soo many good ones, it's crazy.

I really enjoyed this contest... it gave me an excuse to break out of my spacey shell and try something new! No complaints about doing something different for a change :)

Everyone really put out some awesome work, I was/am very impressed! :D

Am I right? I counted 244 (non-Admins) entries for CCC3 and Sir Nelson posted the most with ten. Wow!

And all I posted was eight.

And none of them were mine.. it isn't fair! My enforced absence has meant I've missed CCC this year but all the best to all those who did enter, I'll be looking through the entries over the next while attempting to convince myself that I could have won ; )

I wanted to add another big thank you for everyone who put in work to help run the contest. As someone just learning how to build this inspired so many people to build so many MOCs that I am now overwhelmed in ideas and techniques. I can't wait to give a few of them a try! My only negative comment would be that (as an American) November to December is a very, very busy time to begin with, and about the only time of the year I do not have much time to spend with Legos. It was difficult to see everyone else having so much fun and not be able to join in!

Don't feel bad Norro - due to some issues here at home I also missed the opportunity to do anything for CCC3. So you're not alone in feeling left out!
