How big is your castle LEGO collection?
It seems like alot of Classic-Castle members have acquired an impressive collection of castle minifigs. Many of you have hundreds and hundreds of soldiers, villiagers and forestmen.
What I'm wondering is, how big is your actual castle collection? I'm not talking about sets per-se, but about your collection of castle-useful elements. Do you have enough bricks to properly house your armies, or do your armies dwarf the size of your physical collection?
I mean, several builders like Anthony have built castles which would be adequate for a large seige. So in short, does the size of your brick collection match well with the size of your castle figure collection?
Later.

I have about 50 men, including peaseants.
I have a Inn, a castle and a blacksmith shop. Castle is 48x48 plus a 16x16 apendice.
What do you think?
P.S.-Inn is 32x16 and blacksmith shop is 16x16

When my castle is finished, it will be able to house most of my 40 strong Lion faction. None of my other factions have homes though

I doubt that I could actually build medieval style structures to house all my figs, but I never have all of my figs built at once. Most are sorted into various containers. I don't think I could build anything the size of Ulmaris but I can do okay.

PS. If the weight of Lego means anything, my castle Lego probably weighs around 40-50 lbs (I tend to measure Lego by weight since that is how it is sold on Ebay ).

I'm trying to get 1 of every single complete LEGO castle set, but I'm nowhere near what Jojo has. The big sets are easy, it's the small ones that evade me the most.
As for actual LEGO, it's a big collection, but most of my guys would still be homeless.

Interesting question that makes me want to build a city just to see how many figures I can fit in a city on a dinner table.
I'll probably have to say no that I couldn't build houses for all of my castle figures because I would have to build around 1,000 buildings for about 1600 figures. I just don't have the room for that many buildings or the pieces. Been buying more bricks then figures lately. I guess I could house about 800. Many of the buildings would probably have crappy roofs, be tiny and have ugly color schemes for walls.
Right now I have about 12 buildings that can hold +40 figures.

Aside from figs and parts I've bought from Bricklink and Ebay, and even though this list hasn't been updated in years, this'll give you a good idea.

Add to that tens of thousands of light grey bricks and plates I've bought off bricklink... well...

I could build a castle twice the size of Ulmaris if it was all different colors.
I also have Fire Breathing Fortress Royal Knight's Castle, and Black Monarchs Castle (the bigger one).

I tend to measure housing by houses not castles. Though a fair number of men could be stationed at a castle. In order for me to guess at houses or barracks I could have about 50-75 houses (varied in size from 8x12 up to 12x16) and three 48x48 size barracks. Mostly dictated by my roof slopes more than anything else.
A singularly large castle at best for me would be 96x96.
I have somewhere near 500 figs after I sold some off (not including ninja or custom) So I would say no. Housing them would be impractical. Even if you don't count and peasant/forestmen/wolfpack figures the 350 other soldiers could not be comfortable housed unless I started using all the colors I have. Which could house a 1000+.

There is someone who is always worse off than you . . . consider my peasants for example.
Hello!
Ah, another question that flatters my bragging needs... No, sorry. I don't aim to show off (hm, maybe except for two pics).
But as a matter of fact I have quite a large collection of LEGO parts of which about 50% are useful for Castle, 40% are at least not useless at all, and 10% are just there because I own the sets they belong to... Of course I don't have near as many grey bricks as Anthony has. Probably I wouldn't be able to build Ulmaris. Not without dismantling other MOCs first, that is :-)
Bye
Jojo

My Minas Tirith city street layout used pretty much all of my useful bricks. As far as sets go, I actually have very few, preferring to get bulk bricks and then Bricklink or Ebay figs and specialty elements.
