Microscale walled city by HGDebris

Post by Bruce N H »

Hey all,

HGDebris has a great microscale walled city

Interestingly, he also has a version of the same city 400 years later. It reminds me of this great series of picture books about cities through the ages published by Houghton Mifflin (I have the ones on an Islamic city and the one on a Central American city, but there's also one on a Mediteranean city and a Northern European city) that follow the same spot of land over the centuries and see how the city grows over the ages. Here's one on Borders but unfortunately I don't see pictures on either Amazon or Borders.

I really love this. When I first saw the pics on brickshelf, I thought it was minifig scale! My favorite detail would have to be the windmill; that's a genius use of a helicopter rotor piece.

The pics of the city during the Industrial Revolution are great, too! :)

This looks great. So simple, yet so much hidden detail. Microscale MOC's keep on impressing me, and it's something I want to start doing myself. I like the castle the most myself. The detail in the courtyard and the bridge leading to the castle were done very well.

The Cathedral is just amazing. The one-piece trees looks a little huge in this scale, but still possible. The evolution looks appropriate, it's interesting to see how some walls 'dusted'.

Too bad this wasn't entered in the contest, it would have won.

That is cool. I'm not a fan of building mini though, but there are some people who have great talent with it!
