Well, there's already a spriral staircase and a spiral candelabra, but I think my design is suffieciently different to warrant posting.

It's also a spiral staircase, built around a little MOC. The full view of the MOC:

And a few of close-ups of the stairs:

And finally a link to the gallary.

Hope you like it!

This is most ingenious Radz! I may use this idea, if you don't mind. (Not for the contest, of course) :D

I agree, that is a beautiful spiral staircase! I would worry about clumsy figs tripping on the part of the arm that sticks out from under the stair surface, but it makes such a nice spiral I almost hate to even bring it up!

Thanks! Of course, go right ahead, I think these things are for sharing techniques using unusual pieces, etc. If anyone asks, tell 'em where you got the idea! :D

Thanks! Aesthetically I found the stairs looked best with the bars filling in the gaps to some extent; otherwise it looked scarily unstable. Besides, if the minifig's foot is near the bar sticking out, its arm must be on the banister, so no worries about the tripping :)

Cool fence/cage deal jens. I like it alot, and might use it in a moc (not for this contest obviously) if you don't mind.

Please do so! This is the reason we share our ideas here, I thought. Main thing you show pics of your version.

Thanks jens.

Alright, I know it's not Feb. any more, but I just had an idea finally. I received my minifig foal today and that sparked my creativity.
I ended up making what I call a training cart. It's a small cart to get the young horse used to working, etc. It uses the seed part as the harness and the sides of the cart. Hopefully that's enough. Here are the deeplinks

And the folder, when public.

Hey guys,

Some really clever ideas in this thread. My favorite is probably the candelabra (I'd love to see that in a large cathedral MOC), but all were very cool. Great to see that a stereotypically spacey part could find application in castle creations.

Thanks Bruce. :D I could definitely see the candelabra in a cathedral MOC.
Hoping to have a witty signature and cool avatar one day.
