CCC Tower MOC

Been building some more, again based on the parts that I have in abundance here. This time it was the 5 x 5 Facet Brick which I have in quantity from parting out the Rapid River Village set.

Using these bricks, i've come up with the following hexagonal tower:

This MOC also makes good use of the 1 x 6 x 5 printed bricks that I used extensively in the straight wall section. This MOC could probably be cleaned up a bit if I had a wider range of parts available to me. As it is, I had to take all of the 1 x 2 bricks off of my staight wall section just to make the tower!

From the back you can see that the top section of the tower is not actually a hexagon anymore. This was so that I could maintain the top of wall walkway. There is, as is typical for Lego design, no obvious way to get to the top of the tower! I'll have to work on that!

I think I may have to wait for the order I placed today to arrive before I make any further CCC modules. Perhaps an inside corner next, or maybe a gate. And then onto an adjustable geometry angles wall!

Great tower Troy. It is about time that someone made broad low towers. Many cities were more like this (ie Constantinople) that high towers on castles.

Hi, realy great !
But I can't build it with my amount of gray bricks... :(

What about a ladder/stairs for your courner - or how should the knight get on the top of it ?

maybe by catapult :D

Sticking to the design principles of The LEGO Company, there is no way to get to the top of the tower!

And actually, it wasn't meant to be a finished model, just what I could build with the gray parts that I had on hand. Once I get a wider selection of gray parts I'll probably go back and improve upon it. (My gray 1x2's have arrived! Woo!)

Very nice, Troy, especial since it was built with on-hand materials. I can't wait to see the finished product.

This is a nice design, but I don't think that it was at all worth bringing it up from a 4 year rest...

In Christ,
Ohh, wow, I didn't even notice. Geez, four years. Prince Imdol, why did you bring it back up.
