Castle under Construction

Alright here's my castle:

http://www.geocities.com/caesar2164/Lego_Castle.html

Any critics?

I know i didn't put in dark grey bricks randomly in the walls but i have two very good reasons

1. don't have the bricks

2. don't think the walls would look any better with them

anyway the walls will have a walkway on top and they won't totally be flat, the walkway will widen the top to four studs wide :D

That looks really terrific so far! I can't wait to see it finished.

Two suggestions, and neither have to do with the castle.

When using thumbnails on your website, create actual thumbnail images, that is, very small versions of your larger images. This will make browsing through your pages for us dial-up users much easier and faster. It will also cut down on the bandwidth used and your geocities account won't die so easily.

My second suggestion is to stop hosting your pictures on your geocities account and instead hosting them on Brickshelf. Brickshelf has no bandwidth restrictions and linking to the pictures won't eat up any bandwidth from Geocities.

Good work!

Hello!

That looks like a very good start. I think we can expect a very good castle from this preview.

Yep. Plus you don't need to create thumbnails yourself but you can use just those BrickShelf creates automatically.

I like it!! You have turned the rased baseplate into a usefull piece! I also like the wooden wall to one side. Is this a temporary "while undercontsruction" wall?

Thanks to all repliers very helpful

Anthony: very good idea about Brickshelf i'll do that

Jojo: thank you

Jedipawn: nope the wooden wall is the village wall while the grey is the actual castle wall, even the village around the castle needs some defense! :D

thanks to all,

That really looks great! I would have commented earlier, but this morning was the first time I've been able to access the page.

The overall design looks quite complex as well, at least from what I could tell (only looked at the pics for a few minutes before they went down again) so I'm sure the complete Castle will be quite a sight to see.

Looks like it's going to be quite a large Castle when finished, any idea on how many light gray 2xX pieces are in it as of now?

Keep up the good work, and be sure to post when it's done!

BTW, are these pics by any chance on Brickshelf anywhere? I would really like to study them in depth but as I said they keep going down, maybe I should save them on my HD so I can look them over.

Heres the brik shelf link but its still "not available to public" so you guys will have to wait. :(

Grey count: aproximately 2000-3000 currently, maybe more :D
