City Wall with Gate

Post by Cat »

I have posted my first MOC (http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Cat-M ... go_001.jpg). It s intended to be a city wall with a gate compatible with the CCC format. I was trying to come up with a good use for the raised baseplate. Let me know what you think.

Hey Cat,

It looks nice. I'm not a big fan of those blue slopey things by the gate, but that seems to be a carryover from the Castle of Morcia.

I like it. I have tried to use the same baseplate for a ccc standard wall or gate or something for a while and mine never turned out. I think that it would work very well for a city gate, and I like the little hut on top. I am with Bruce on the large blue wedge/slopes, but that's a personal thing. My only other criticism is for the roof on the hut. I like the color, but if the slopes were staggered, rather than stacked directly above each other, I think it would look better, minor detail.

Overall good job, keep it up.

Very good use of a very hard-to-use baseplate! I have been trying to use the various baseplates too. It can become rather difficult. I like the design of your gatehouse a lot. I, too, am not crazy about the blue slopes, but the rest of it is top notch.
