I like that his is pretty much all brown, it's very peasant-y. The sheep are neat too, I like this design because they really look about the right size. AND you included a staff! Keep it up, I like these figs so far!

The shepherd is my favorite so far. And the sheep are great, too!

Can't wait for more. :D

Cool figs. In the fisherman one, are those fish Light Grey or Pearl Silver? Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the green bandana comes in one of the keychains.

Hey, cool sheep design! The size fits the minifig-scale perfectly. I just don't think of that face as a shepherd's face, but that's just me. Still, a great work!

The fish are actually flat silver, another special part-color combination.
For the green bandana; I'm not sure if it appears in any keychain; I checked it on Bricklink and couldn't find any.

And here's already the next character,
a blacksmith with his apprentice:

Now this one has some optical illusion going on; I thought it would look more realistic if the blacksmith was holding his hammer with two hands instead of one, so I disconnected one of the arms from his torso and took the picture under an angle.

They look great, I love the heads you've chosen, and I'm always a fan of the brown 'capes/aprons' (I have four). The deal witht he disconnected arm works well. However, I do have a few criticisms.

First, I've done some metal working simelar, I guess, to what is being pictured and I have never held the hammer with two hands. It's a one hand job as far as I know.

The other thing I see is that even with 'gloves' on, the metal should be too hot to hold. I use different types of 'wrenches' to look like tonges.

But like I said, I do like them, and I can't wait to see more of your figs!

I was thinking about these issues too... but the arm "illusion" is still a great feature! Very clever.

I have done some blacksmithing too. I like the two handed effect (may have to steal that) but if the smith needed two hands, he's a wimp. :) Red hot metal is actually quite soft, if you strike it that hard, it will kind of squish out. Most striking is relatively gentle (strike firmly but one handed). Now that apprentice...he's one tough cookie! Even with gloves on, there is no way I would grab a red hot bar! But then he is an apprentice. :) Just some minor criticisms, you do great work!

I am really liking all the figs in your series, keep it up!

Awesome looking sheep! I really do enjoy seeing all of the brick-built minifig scale animals that you people come up with. Keep up the good work!

Hey,

Great smith! Regardless of the correctness of using two hands for the hammer, the optical illusion is just so cool that any inaccuracy is worth it. (But I do feel sorry for that apprentice. Pretty mean master to make him carry around the red-hot iron like that. :) )

I *love* the sheep! They look a lot better with the new slope piece than the control rod base (now I'm off to buy some of those pieces in black).

The blacksmith's two-handed illusion sounds like a good idea, but unfortunately doesn't look very convincing... Maybe it's because we KNOW that the position of his hands are physically impossible for a minifig.

But in all, cool figs (they all seem to have "character"), and great photography as usual!

Why? He's got gloves on.

Anyway, these figs are all pretty good. They have a kind of simplicity to them that other figs often lack. Of them all, I like the Blacksmith best, but that's just me.

I really like the illusion; yet another thing I'll have to try.

These keep getting better and better!
