Thinking way outside the box. I love it.

My first reaction as I looked it over: cross-shaped windows for archers!

Thanks alot for posting this. I tried it and I may attempt using it for windows in a cross pattern. The swivel aspect may be usefull too! I like the repetition it makes when used for a 'portcullis' type gate.

However, considering the way its constructed... it can be used for an effective "knocking down" effect when struck by a battering ram.

That's pretty unique :shock: . I like it, but it looks a bit flimsy to me, but as JP said, it could be used as a knocking down feature.

I haven't built it (yet), but I imagine it would be strong, seeing as the hinge things would be a tight fit in the studs. It looks really cool. I saw this yesterday and was going to reply, but I forgot :roll:.
