Davilos Castle by abcLee

Post by Blueandwhite »

I don't think anybody has mentioned this, but abcLee has a fantastic castle that is definitely worth checking out called Davilos Castle. The keep is simply beautiful!

So do yourself a favour and check it out. Its one of the better castles I've seen this year.

The exterior is modelled well, and so is the village. Oh, oh look! There's a cool interior as well. Very nice castle. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, Blueandwhite.

... that's great. The interior is fine, but the outside is just wonderful. A very cooldesign for the castle and the village. And looks simple enough. Really nice find!

VERY well-made! I literally gasped when I first saw it. The villiage is great, the inside if very cool and well laid-out, but the outside is awsome! I jsut might have to forget my plans for a larger castle and go with more a keep-like structure like this.

I like jsut about everything about it. The only complaint I have is hardly even worth mentioning. I don't like how large teh fountain/well thingy is. It takes up a large chink of the road and wagons/carts would barely fit passed it. Also I personally don't like the way the roofs on some the houses end at the walls instead of overhaning. But both VERY MINOR when it comes to the overal MOC.

I reallllly like this whole thing. Uber-instpirational for me. Thanks so much for posting it!

This is an awesome Castle!
I like the huge Keep or main building with the 3 towers sticking out the top.
I've never seen a Keep built like that before and this one looks really nice.
The interior is nicely decorated and I like how it all comes apart into separate sections. I need to start building my Mocs like that!
The little village also looks great as well.
My only complaint would be that the fountain takes up a huge chunk of the road.

Overall, an excellent Moc!

I just got a chance to look through these pictures today. Thanks for taking the time to post it for us, that is awesome! I was astonished that the keep actually has a complete interior, and I thought the flow from floor to floor was well done. I do feel sorry for whomever has to drag that prisoner down to the dungeon when the king is done with him, that's a lot of stairs! :)

It's a shame that the front of the keep looks like a victorian school building - I think it's the windows that look incongruous.

I like the interior layout though.
