Hi.
This is my new Lego Ballista
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j294/ ... ure119.jpg
Gigantic image changed to link by admin. Do not post images larger than 400x300 pixels in the forums. Thanks.
It uses a rubber band for power, and changes angle using a technic gear box.
It is drawn by one horse, with more bolts in a wagon following it.

Great work! This is the best working-ballista design I've seen so far. I especially like how you used the gear and screw system to alter the angle of the ballista.

By the way, how do you make an image smaller, like 400x300. Admin removed mine because it was too big, i don't want to make the mistake again.

First of all, I kind of like your ballista, though it could use some work to make it look a little less heavy and tall. However, considering the tilting mechanism, which takes up no small amount of space, you did very well.
Now, on resizing photos, there are many topics in the Publishing forum which will serve you well. In Adobe Photoshop, however (which is the program I'm most familiar with), you select the crop tool, and in the options bar, type in 'width: 400' and 'height: 300', or whatever other dimensions you like. Then you click and drag the crop tool, selecting whatever you'd like to keep in the image. You can even select the whole image if you like, and, say for example it is 4000x3000 pixels, it will keep the entire image, but just shrink it. Once you have selected the area you want to crop, make sure it says 'Cropped Area: Delete', then click the checkmark in the options bar, or double click the image, or go to the 'Image' menu and select 'Crop'. Then click 'File' and 'Save As', then choose where on your CPU you want to store the image, and name it whatever you want. Then you can upload it to whatever image hosting site you want. Of course, this is Photoshop CS2, for Mac (although Mac and PC versions are pretty much the same), so if you have an older version of Photoshop, or none at all, but some other program, I can't help you, and all this typing will have been for nothing (except, of course practicing typing and wearing out my keyboard ). Hope I could help.
