Moko's leg design

Post by Bruce N H »

Hey all,

We've prevously discussed Moko's leg design and Anthony has applied it to a highland beserker. Now both Moko and Swindeller have applied this design to armored knights.

Pretty cool. Though really I prefer the good ol' minifig with his square legs and no knees.

Thats cool but I still dont c how they did it. This would be good for making a warrior whom you want to stick out in a croud.

From one such model I saw, they took two controllers, popped out the pins, took two 1x2 grate tiles, and ran the pins through them and relocked into the controller bases, then from there the legs could be built. It didn't seem all that sturdy to me since there wasn't an actual connection being made from legs to torso, so if I'm perhaps missing out on the other half of this method, please share. That's my observation so far.

I'm a bit more interested in snug exoskeleton designs at the moment, but these certainly appear cool to pose.

These are pretty cool, but I think they are a little ugly too. Swindeller's is the better one, IMO. Another pretty funny one would be Modesty's, it looks so awful that it's great.

I think that there is a third lever going the opposite direction, with the part that would normally be stuck in the lever base stuck in the torso, instead.

Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".
