My newest moc is a bridge that crosses the border between the Falcon and Crusader territories:

A falcon and crusader border guard stare each other down.
If one of them were to cross the white line, it could cause an international incident!

Looks like the crusaders are on lockdown:

Is that Majisto lying drunk under the bridge? (did he drink that whole keg himself?)

Some prefer to travel by boat:

Crusader guards stare at the Black Falcons across the river:

Hi,
This is quite nifty. I like the mirrored tudor sections on the two towers, and the slight differences in styling.

The scene with the two guards on the bridge reminds me of a Dr. Seuss story (a guy who only walks north runs into a guy who only walks south, neither can convince the other to step aside. I can't remember the name).

Wow! It's fanatastic. I like vine, and the rest of landscape, but I'll add some these bricks: http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/4073 in white, trblue and clear to make some standed out waves.

And the drunk guy is funny.

Well done.

Wow, that's a great MOC ! :D
I'm really impressed by the size (it's huge!) and the amount of details you managed to incorporate in it.
The left part reminds me of Brody's Col du Mont tower. I also like the "theme" you've chosen (the classic BF against Crusaders  )

I also have one question; do you break down your MOCs after taking pictures ? (that's what I usually do  )

WOW!

The paving stones on the bridge (all those 1 x 1 plates) excellent detail.

The arches of the bridge are fantastic! Can you say "inverted slope intensive"?

The landscaping and the water are nice, but the fact that the two gatehouses and porticulli are distinct is the coolest point of all. This shows that each group has a unique culture and architecture, which for the history fan like myself, makes this MOC really stand out. The concept is unique, a different but believable aspect of "castle" era life.

Two thumbs way, way up! Great job Jacob!

Is a battle at this border point forthcoming?

Super!!! Great work! The Idea of a bridge as border is great, and good to defend for the both armies. I like the gate building of the Crusaders the most, I my opinion that one has the best architecture. Your landscaping is nice, just like the details you have put into the Moc. The plaved road (I don`t know if that is the correct english word) is amazing.
This I another great moc that you have made!! I look forward to you next one  .

Jacob, this is incredible. The size, the detail, the suspense...its great. Hope those two guards are fairly diplomatic or else the situation could deteriorate very quickly! Oh, Majisto is great too, I always thought he was a lush.

This is the best bridge Ihave ever seen. I like how you have the falcons on one side and the crusaders on the other. I agree with Josh, having majisto under the bridge is a great detail.

Thanks for all the compliments guys!

Since the bridge crosses a water way, I'm thinking it would be a good pit stop for a Viking invasion? (I'll have to think about it)
I also have one question; do you break down your MOCs after taking pictures ?
Yes.
Within a week or two after taking pictures, I usually take them apart.
Oh, Majisto is great too, I always thought he was a lush.
Maybe Majisto will use his magical powers to cure himself of the impending hangover?

Oh man... I can't wait till I'm in that position again...

Excellent work, I must say. I appreciate the unique-ness of the two gate houses, and how you went for the different styles of each of the factions. I also like how you connected the blue baseplates with blue plates, but took the extra step in making the seam stitch look like waves. The climbing vines are also a nice touch.

As a point of criticism, I think I would have done the arches slightly different. I think I would have started the inverted 33 degree slopes one brick lower, using only 2 inverted 45 degree slopes instead of 3. The arches look a bit too high and pinched, and I think if you were to lower the 33 degree slopes the arch would look more semi-circular.

That's just about the only thing I'd change though. Fantastic work all around.

Hey Jacob,

Awesome MOC! This reminds me of Takeshi Itou's floodgate castle. The concept is such a cool idea. It makes me think of Checkpoint Charlie and other Cold War era crossings. My favorite detail are these tall arched inset sections:

and also the tudor sections. That raft is also uber-cool. One critique, I think the white pants on this guy are a fashion faux-pas:

I think he needs a makeover by the fab five. :D
