Great Hall -- Black Falcon's Citadel
Heya!
Two areas added to the work in process. The main courtyard for the citadel and the Great Hall.
The courtyard will hold 50 mounted troops and there is a balcony around the upper layer. There will be sword fighting and archery practice here as well (and the occasional manure I suspect)
The Great Hall seats 60. There are some visiting kings (as you can see), lording it up over fish and turkey. The final pictures when the project is completed will have serving wenches and all of the rest.
Above the Great Hall will be a majority of the royal apartments and a throne room. Additional barracks for the defenders will be there as well.
Comments always welcome!

This may be my favorite installment yet! I'm a sucker for courtyards.... I love the way the floors are layed out, and everything else I can see is perfect, too. Of course, I can't wait till the whole thing is finished.

Wow!! The kitchens amazed me, but the Great Hall is just as good! I love the SNOT floors, they look excellent. I also really like the way the tables are set up. The entire thing is so HUGE! If you were counting pieces, it would be well over 20,000...
Wow. This is going to be one heck of a castle! Crusaders need to start building siege engines for a siege...
Great Job. Excellent. Unbelievable.

WOW! It's so HUGE!
You've done a great job on this! I like the fact that apart from building such a bug-scale MOC you've also paid attention to the small details and the significant force to garrison inside it.

Good to see that work continues! Can't wait to see all these great sections in one whole MOC!

Heya!
Heya!
Thanks for all the comments! I really appreciate the feedback (my kids just like everything -- they are just not objective) *chuckle*
I think this will take another 4 months or so -- so look for another update in a few weeks!

It looks amazing! I just love it! The layout is incredible. Do you know roughly how many pieces are in that masterpiece? My guess is around 200,000.

Excellent Great Hall. The tables are very nicely covered in food, but they need some vegetables! I like the kings' chairs, and their table is nice too (I want those gold platters; wait, make that, any platters). The details in the walls are very nice, and I like your torches. The courtyard is very good too, I like the patterns in the floor, and the balcony is great.

Learning French.
Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".

This is awsome! The feast is great, the only thing I would change is that I would make all the tables connected so they looked more banquete style. Be sure to post pics of it when its finished.

Holy Shizznit! were did you get all that? How old are you? Can't wait till I get that old and have that much lego!
I really like this. I really can't see anything impoveable. My only complaint is that the black kinda throws it off. But who cares?! I didn't know there were so many food pieces. Great floor design. Good work.

Thanks for the comments!
Ah!
Thanks again for the comments! Indeed, I do have a lot of food parts -- but I plan such large rooms with lots of figs, I end up using them all. I have lots of veggies -- but the apples, carrots, bananas and cherries tend to fall off the tables, so I didn't use them in this room. You can see lots of large barrels filled with fruit in several rooms around the project though.
But, since someone asked, I'm 35 or so -- and that let's me spend quite a bit on Lego. I also have a pretty decent job, etc and so on.
I thought about connecting all of the tables -- but I thought it would make it hard for the figs to sit down *chuckle* So, smaller tables with space in between was the way to go. Even though it's Lego, I try to make things fairly realistic (one reason I have to build so large).
I'm not sure on the total number of brick in the project so far -- but I can tell you there are over 4,000 1x1 plates alone. That about about 30k black 2x4 and 10k gray 2x4. I suspect the final build will have about 3-400,000 total parts.

This keeps getting better and better.
Love the great hall and kitchen!
What you have is already great, so the finished product should be fantastic!
