Absolutley amazing. Especially the walls. I love how you built them so that there are no long flat stretches. It gives it a more interesting look. One could just study the photos for a long time, just absorbing all the little details. Also, great idea with the cascading flags near the gate.

Welcome to CC, Wairnie.

Very cool castle moc. The castle looks overwhelmed with great and a few weird details. Like the poles near the sides of windows, odd looking at first but from far away they look good. Excellent landscaping, photography and tower designs. A lot of odd flowing wall designs packed with great details.

The only than I probably don't like is the crampy 2-brick width walkways and small buildings that don't seem to me would be able to hold much. But of course this is more fantasy in looking and scale, than realism. Don't take this criticism badly, it's just my personal preference in castle design.

I don't know if this question was ask or explained but why do you have a drawbridge for a moatless front part of the castle?

Overall a 8 out of 10 Goblin Heads:

Certainly a detailed and complicated design. The roofs are well done and the apples in the tree inspired me to order some. Lee.

I remember seeing this when it was first posted (and I was still lurking) and seeing it again reminds me of how this has influenced me building since in a very big way.
It manages to avoid BGW syndrome without using a uniformed technique or an incredible amount of specialty lgrey pieces while still maintaining an imposing look. I also really enjoy the multi-generational look of the layered rooftops and the slightly different architecture in each of the various castle buildings. It really looks like an ancestral home for a lord or noble.
I'm currently working on a smaller take on the same idea and can look at mine and see what I owe to Wairnie. Many, many lessons here.
Gorgeous stuff, we can only hope for more,

Great looking Castle! Looks like something, my LEGO armies would love to besiege.
