I like the way it looks. I don't mind the mix of Bley and grey, some people dislike it, but I'm cool with it. It really depends on what look your getting. In anycase, I really like the fortress so far, but one thing stuck out that I would change. The torches. They don't look like torches. Like in this pic- http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/colan ... swip91.jpg
It kinda looks like a cone with a 1x1 trans orange round brick on it. Maybe you could put these: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=2566 in the cone, and then place the 1x1 trans orange brick inside. There are six of these in the Viking fortress, so you should have some on hand.

So that is the only thing I would really change; I really like how you did the flip up roofs, and that you have more then just 2 buildings in there. I love the thached roof look. Overall, very good job. I can't wait to see it completed.

Good job!

Lord Felix, those look more like dark orange to me... I think they're supposed to be wood to burn, and he'd put flame pieces in them, but I'm not sure.

I agree. I think those are places where he will put flames in.

Hmm.. Yeah. They are dark orange! Still, I think that if they were to be burned, they shouldn't be at the tip of a cone... It kinda looks silly. Everything else looks good though, you have to admit!

Ah yes, the torches. They did look kinda awkward.

My thoughts when building this: You know when you see torches, and thier wrapped up in a wood-like colored material, that was kinda my direction, they would be burned...but you're right, I should get to changing those. Thanks :)

Does this mean they are gone, or that the whole thing is gone  ?
I really really want to see the finished product; My next creation is going to have those wall pieces in them too; it is going to be a town with a wooden wall. I can't wait to see how it looks against the landscaping and the buildings when it all comes together.

I couldn't have the heart to tear it down. As of now, the finished products are just the torches, the back of the Meadhouse (I make brown run up with a tan center), ummm...I gave the "longhouse" a treasurey. Until I order from BL, I can't really make more. I was thinking of ording mass brown logs. But no, it ain't in pieces yet, and shouldn't be for a while.

I'm having this effect, I dunno how many others have had it: You look at this moc (yours, mine, whoevers), and say "if I tear this apart, can I make one better, or will it be worse and the biggest regret of my life" That's my delema right now.

BTW, it's on mocpages now:

And good luck with your town, Lord Felix. I'm already anticipating it!
